What’s the right image size for Instagram?

For feed posts, 1080 × 1350 px in 4:5 format works best; the 1080 × 1080 px square works as well. Stories and Reels need 1080 × 1920 px in 9:16 format.

Is my image uploaded?

No. The image is only displayed in your browser – it is neither sent nor stored.

What is the safe zone for?

In Stories and Reels, the app’s interface places names, buttons and text over the image. Whatever stays inside the dashed area is always visible.

Where does the information come from?

Every format lists its source along with the date we checked the information.

Does the tool cost anything?
